Bani Hassan Governorate
It is one of the governorates of Al-Baha Province and has two administrative centers. It is considered a tourist destination containing parks, waterfalls, forests, valleys, agricultural lands, vegetation density. It is approximately 15 km away from Al-Baha City.
Geographical Location:
It is located southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and northwest of Al-Baha City.
Centers:
- Wadi Al-Sadr Center:
It is located in the north of Bani Hassan Governorate and has a health center, the Social Development Commission, Wadi Al-Sadr Dam, Wadi Al-Sadr Dam Park, and a number of agricultural lands.
- Baidhann Center
It is located south of Bani Hassan Governorate and has Baidhann Health Center, a civil defense center, and Prince Mishari Park.
Governorate Borders:
It is bordered to the northwest by Al-Mandaq Governorate, to the east and west by Al-Baha City and Al-Qura Governorate, and to the southwest by Qilwa Governorate.
Area:
The area of the governorate is 122 thousand km2.
Climate:
The Governorate's climate is mild in summer and slightly cold in winter with heavy rainfall in winter and moderate rainfall in summer. In winter and sometimes in summer, all areas of the governorate are covered with dense fog.
Topography:
The governorate is suitable for tourism investment considering its high mountains adorned with old agricultural terraces, dense vegetation, large valleys, flat lands with a large area of agricultural lands and old wells, as well as Wadi Al-Sadr Dam and Al-Amer (Dahyan) Dam.
Population:
It has a population of approximately 60,000 people.
Agricultural Products:
Grapes, olives, pomegranates, almonds, peaches, apricots, apples, prickly pears and figs, in addition to a number of vegetables.
Livestock:
There are bees, goats, cows, sheep, chickens, partridges, rabbits, hyrax and pigeons.
